How safe are the amber teething necklaces to wear?

Safety is a priority and I would never sell anything that is unsafe for a child. We only sell amber necklaces that use synthetic plastic clasps with a screw thread which has been glued into the barrel of the clasp. The silk thread in each of our baby amber teething necklace is knotted by hand in between each and every bead, so should the necklace break (which it should if necessary to avoid strangulation), the rest of the beads will not scatter. The amber teething necklace fastens with a screw clasp that opens and closes easily.

The amber bracelets and anklets that are on a stretch line will expand under the pressure if your baby pulls on it. Of course, it is always better to avoid this happening, but considering being a parent is busy work, I have at times turned around to see Farrah pulling on her anklet. It has never snapped under her will and if she continues to play with it I remove it until she starts playing with something else and then I put it back on. The stretch bracelets will grow with your baby; however they are not knotted individually. If this is a concern then I would recommend getting a necklace and wrapping it around your baby’s ankle. The necklaces do not 'stretch'.
